Day 1

Arrival

Pick up at the airport and transfer to the Hotel for an overnight stay at
4* Wyndham Garden Hotel in Muscat.

Day 2

FULL-DAY CITY TOUR OF MUSCAT

After having breakfast at the hotel, with the 08:00am pick up timing your city tour will begins. Your city tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the Middle East, the only mosque open to non-Muslims and expatriates in Oman. Later you drive to visit Opera House. After you will visit to the Muttrah Corniche and Muttrah Souq(The market) whereyou will have photo stop with the big cruises by the corniche and the market where you can get to know the traditional handicrafts, Omani daggers and many antiques .Now it is time for a lunch and you can have it as per your taste and interest as many restaurants are avalible in the Muscat city. Then you will be taken to visit the museum Bait Al Zubair which gives you the knowledge about tradition,

Culture and heritage of Oman .. You will then have a photo stop at the official residence of his Majesty the Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali. Now you have covered almost every visit able place so its time to get back and have a sleep to recall the day and dream for more to come. You will be droped to the Hotel .

Day 3

MUSCAT – NIZWA FORT-SOUQ-AL HAMRA-MISFAH -JABEL SHAMS

Morning visit the powerful Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman and the traditional Souq.Later on proceed towards Al Hamra and Misfah to see one of the oldest villages of this region. The traditional mud houses dated back from 400 years are still occupied. The falaj system used in this village one of the oldest of this kind (UNESCO site). Thereafter drive to visit Wadi Gul & Wadi Nakhar the remote villages exactly at the drop point of great canyon. Continue your journey to the top of Jebel Shams, “Sun Mountain”, Oman’s highest peak, 3009 m. The cooler temperatures will surprise as you reach the top to get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”. Sleeping in high altitude will get you closer to the stars.

Day 4

JABEL SHAMS-TANUF VILLAGE-BIRKAT AL MAUJ-JABEL AKHDAR

After Breakfast tour proceed towards Tanuf. Visit the ruins of Old Tanuf, a relic from bombings during the Jabal War. Walk in the middle of this palm plantation in Birkat Al Mauz and visit the old village where you can see the mud houses. The view point will give you the opportunity to take a great picture of Oman’s natural beauty. Visit Jabel Akhdar or “Green Mountain” This mountain offers discovery and adventure. Experience a sense of awe as you witness nature’s primordial beauty as seen in the soaring peeks and plunging canyons. The rise of terraces on extremely steep mountain slopes …. There is a trek that goes from one village to another through the terraces and along the falaj system. There is a splendid view of the hanging terraces and continue to the village of Wadi Bani Habib. Then drop of to the hotel in Nizwa.

Day 5

NIZWA –IBRA VILLAGE-WADI BANI KHALID- WAHIBA SANDS

After breakfast in Hotel Nizwa proceed towards Izki and stop for visiting Ibra village, many years ago Ibra was the center of trade, culture, religion and art . Later on continue towards Wadi Bani Khalid one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water all year round. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oases where it sustains the typical date palms. The pretty villages of Wadi Bani Khalid cling precariously to the rugged mountainside. But now the nature of the landscape will change dramatically – we reach the Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating dunes rising up to 200 meters and stretching as far as the eye can see. It is also host to a variety of flora and fauna and one of the largest areas of pure sand desert in the world and the traditional home of the nomadic Bedouin. Camels are a common sight moving through the sands. Evening watch spectacular sunset from top of the dunes.

Day 6

WAHIBA SANDS – BEDUIN-SUR-DHOW BUILDING – RAS AL JINZ - TURTLE

Leave the golden sand dunes behind you visit one of Bedouin family then your next stop will be in Sur, Sur Dhow building (wooden ship building) factory, where Arabian dhow have been built. & famous for its trading and Dhow Building Yard. The sheltered lagoon is a perfect picture. After that you will travel for Ras Al Jinz for Turtle watching, for the timing of Turtle watching from 09:00PM to 11:00PM. Here you will see the turtles come to lay their eggs at night and this experience is a memorable one. After the turtle watching we will go at hotel for overnight stay.

Day 7

WADI SHAB –PHOTOGHAPHY AT FINS BEACH – BIMMASINKHOLE – MUSCAT

After Breakfast in Hotel tour proceed to Wadi Shab which means a “wadi between the cliffs”, enjoy a walk through the wadi, walking shoes are strongly recommended. Going up the wadi you will soon see pools appearing before you and you may also enjoy a refreshing swim in those pools.

Moving forward you will have a stopover at the fins beach to have photos and rank on of the beautiful beaches of Oman. Later on tour continue towards to Bimmah sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with inviting blue-green water, concrete steps lead down the side making swimming possible. Proceed to Muscat via Quriyat and check into the hotel..
