Introduction

If you ever wanted to visit a place where East meets West, where people have suffered alot but still manage to be friendly and happy, where nature remains untouched, where history is being respected and passed as a golden medal, where food is to be enjoyed and coffee is one of the main bonding ingrediances, then you shouldn’t miss the opportunity to spend 5 days in a heart shaped land, located in the Western Balkans peninsula, the land called Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is where you’ll see Bosnian kingdom remains, Ottoman legacy in culture, Austro-Hungarian arhitecture and modern day life co-existing as one. Bosnia and Herzegovina has become a place where peace is practiced in every action, since the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina was suffering for 4 long years in the beginning of  the ’90s. This is the place where you’ll hear a Muslim call for prayer, bell rings from both the Roman-Cahtolic and Serbian-Orthodox cathedrals, where you can see one of the biggest and oldest Jewish cemetaries in Europe. This is a place of diversity and true coexistance.

For the final day (if the stay is prolonged on 5 days in total) we recommend activites as hiking or rafting. Bosnian nature is still pretty wild and in some areas even the old traditional lifestyle is being practices. For this reason we want our guests to connect with the nature and experience some of the unique spots we have here. Please note that the choosing of the additional options will affect total price from above and additional 45,00EUR for accommodation in Sarajevo will be needed (5th night in the same hotel on BB base).

1st option – „Lukomir hike“ (cca 55km by bus / cca 20km hike in both sides – 5 hours of active walk)

Someone who loves hiking, history and once-in-a-lifetime experiences should NOT miss Lukomir village. We know that all the places are unique, but this one brings different feeling, it makes you stop and think about all of the perks of modern life, it makes you see the past and it’s like a visit to a open museum. Exceptional hike, breathtaking views, fresh air and mild sun, followed by homemade meal in the last Bosnian highland village.

Lukomir was presented by National Geography, Travel Channel, plenty of guidebooks, but nothing gives it justice as living a day in this incredible place. We’re in love with it, our roots are from this spot, and you won’t find better source to tell you about the living here.

Price is not included in the above, and it’s additional 59,00EUR per person.
This price includes

  • Transportation from Sarajevo to the starting point of the hike, and back,
  • local hiking guide,
  • homemade meal for lunch (with a local family),
  • coffee/tea

2nd option – „Neretva rafting“ (cca 60km by bus / cca 18km rafting distance)

Neretva river is one of the coolest places in Bosnia and Herzegovina, literally, since it’s believed that this is one of the coldest rivers in the world with summer temperature around 8 degrees Celsius. But don’t be scared, it’s perfect for Mediterranean climate it flows through, you will be happy that it’s that cold. The water is so clear that you will be able to see the river floor 15 meters bellow you and drink the water directly as you raft down the river. Rafting itself takes around 4 hours, you will get the opportunity to experience barbecuing at the banks of the river, and you will definitely try to swim in it’s joining mountain streams.

Price is not included in the above, and it’s additional 79,00EUR per person.
This price includes

  • transportation from Sarajevo to starting point of the rafting, and back
  • white water rafting on Neretva river / level IV rafting experience,
