You’ll depart from Arusha, we proceed to Tarangire National Park for our game drive. One of the largest national parks in Tanzania located in Manyara region, this place is characterized by the large herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees also called the Tree of Life for its almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it. This park is especially known for Tarangire river which flows all year round and the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons.
Tarangire retains an air of undiscovered Africa, as it is less visited than other northern Tanzanian parks. It is a haven for birds. 550 bird species, the world’s largest selection found in one habitat, find their home in Tarangire. The stocking-thighed ostrich, the world’s largest bird, might greet you in its party dress of plumes!
You’ll then retire to your chosen Lake Burunge Tented Lodge for dinner and a good night’s rest. Full board.
After breakfast, the tour departs heading Manyara. Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats. Acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. And thanks to this the small Park is able to support a large number of animal species and incredible bird life. Manyara has the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world and the lions here are also renowned for their tree climbing.
From the open roof of the vehicle, you will be able to watch the animals and absorb the landscape. After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch, you will leave the park to make your way to the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro highlands.
You’ll then retire to your chosen Tloma Lodge for dinner and a good night’s rest. Full board.
We’ll take breakfast, as we’ve got a big day of exploration and adventure ahead of us!
Today we depart in the morning and drive through the small town of Karatu, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Southern Serengeti before reaching Serengeti National Park. The seemingly endless Serengeti Plains capture the essence of Africa. They are home to massive numbers of grazing animals and also various predators, and the interaction between the many species often provides some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in the world.
Depending on wildlife movements and opportunities for sightings, the drive may continue through lunch and last all day.
Enjoy stay at Kirimu Camp for 2 nights. Service: breakfast, lunch (or picnic), and dinner
Early morning breakfast then depart for full day game drives in Serengeti Plains
Continue with full day safari to explore the Serengeti Wildlife Park. Covering an area of 14,763 km², the Serengeti comes from the word maa which means the endless plains. This is where hundreds of thousands of herbivores (wildebeest, zebras) gather from December to March in search of new pastures, a concentration of prey which also attracts many felines. Picnic lunch. Afternoon devoted to researching animals. Later evening return to a camp before sunset.
Enjoy stay at Kirimu Camp for another night. Service: breakfast, lunch (or picnic), and dinner
Today in the morning after breakfast we will drive into the Ngorongoro crater. The Ngorongoro crater is 600-meter-high crater wall. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. The crater life is estimated 30centerarger mammals. In the centre of Crater there is a Salt Lake. This is one of the most densely populated wildlife areas then the world. It is a unique area where animals and humans as the authentic Maasai and animals live together. From the edge of the crater you look out over the impressive crater and its wonderful inhabitants. In the afternoon we’ll drive back to Arusha where we arrive before dinner time. Continue driving across the Ngorongoro highlands to Tloma lodge overnight.
Today you will be staying at Tloma Lodge for one night. Service: breakfast, lunch (or picnic), and dinner
After breakfast, you will drive back to Arusha for lunch with a short stop on a traditional Maasai village on the way. After lunch you will visit Maasai market for shopping (if interested), then you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro/Arusha airport.
