DAY 01: SURABAYA – TUMPANG – RANUPANI
pon arrival at Juanda airport of Surabaya, your guide will pick you up and after meet and greet then you will
directly transfer to Tumpang village, approximately 4 hours driving from Surabaya. At Tumpang will have a brief
medical checkup, then change vehicle to Jeep and start the 1,5 hours jeep ride to Ranupane village (2.110 m). A
constant uphill road passing via Gubuk Klakah and Ngadas villages, when the weather is good you will have
beautiful view along the way. On your way, you can pay a visit to the rainbow waterfall (on your own expense) if
you want to. Arrive at the village in the afternoon, check in to the standard local home stay.

Note: If you arrive by afternoon flight, then we will consider to stay overnight in Malang instead of Ranupane
village
DAY 02: RANUPANI – RANU KUMBOLO – KALIMATI
After breakfast at home stay, we start trekking to Ranukumbolo Lake by crossing the hills track and tropical
forest, the track is solid ground and at some parts paved, It will take 4 hours to reach the lake. Having lunch by
the lake and at the same time enjoy the beautiful scenery of the hills surround and lake. After lunch we continue
trekking to Kalimati about 2,5 – 3,5 hours through Oro-Oro Ombo valley (in rainy season covered by purple
flower), Cemoro Kandang Pine Forest, and Jambangan. On arrival at Kalimati Campsite, our team will prepare
dinner, and then you can rest due to early start the next day. Today’s walk is about 14 km’s in distance.

DAY 03: KALIMATI – SUMMIT – RANU KUMBOLO
Around midnight, at 01:00 am you will be wake up and after having a hot tea start climbing to the summit of
Semeru (3.676 M), the first 1 hour you will walk under the casuarinas tree then you will reach Arcopodo (2,912
m), the border of the last tree. The next route is a steeply straightforward open area, sandy and rocky lose
ground that will test your stamina, 2 steps forward and 1 step back. In 3-5 hours, you will reach the top and will
have a spectacular sunrise view when the weather is good and the sky is clear. You can rest at the top, taking
pictures with the background of the pop-up smoke of the crater, you may feel the earth move as Semeru sends
another cloud of volcanic sand into the air, sometimes 1 time per hour and sometimes every 15 minutes. Then
trekking down back to Kalimati will be much-much faster, normally only 2-3 hours. Late breakfast at Kalimati,
then you will trek back to Ranu Kumbolo Lake.
When we arrive, we will have lunch. Then you can rest or you can explore around the lake.

DAY 04: RANU KUMBOLO – RANUPANE – CEMORO LAWANG
In the morning after breakfast, we start trekking back to Ranupane village and then we will transfer by Jeep to
Cemoro Lawang/Bromo area. It will take about 90 to 120 minutes drive, depend on how often and how long you
will stop for photo. When the weather is good you will have a wonderful breathtaking view along the way, and
also when driving on the sea of sand of Bromo, the end of the sandy road is your lodge, directly check in and
then rest.

DAY 05: BROMO SUNRISE – IJEN
At 03.00 in the early morning you’ll be wake up and the Jeep will bring you to the world’s most famous view
point at Mt. Pananjakan on the rim of the Tengger caldera to enjoy the sunrise with its young volcanic including
Mt Bromo and an active Mt Semeru in the background. Then the adventure continues to an active Mt. Bromo
volcano to climb up 245 steps of stairs to reach the ridge of Bromo Caldera. After this we will proceed back to
hotel for breakfast and freshen up, then leaving for Banyuwangi area via Probolinggo and Bondowoso. This will
be a long 6 – 7 hours driving through the north coast road of Java. Arrive to your hotel in the afternoon, check in
and rest.

DAY 06: IJEN BLUE FIRE – BALURAN NATIONAL PARK – BALI
Wake up after midnight, then you will depart to Paltuding. We drive through the plantation and rainforest for
about 45 minutes. Paltuding is the point from where you start trekking to mount Ijen. It takes about an 1.5 hour
to trek the 3 kilometers to the top. two-hour hike is required to reach the rim of the crater, followed by a 45-
minute hike down to the bank of the crater. The blue fire is ignited sulphuric gas, which emerges from cracks at
temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius. The flames can be up to 5 meters high; some of the gas condenses to
liquid and is still ignited, local people refer to it as ‘Blue Fire. On your way back, on the edge of the crater you
can enjoy a scenic panorama at Ijen Crater Lake. Besides, you can see a lot of sulfur miners with a load of around
80 kilograms on their shoulders walking up the rim and down the slopes of the mountain. After you enjoyed the
Ijen crater Lake, finish Ijen tour and trekking down the mountain. Rejoin the coach and transfer back to your
hotel for breakfast, then you will proceed to Baluran National Park, at Baluran you will be accompanied by park
ranger. You normally will get close enough for good photography possibilities. If you are lucky you will see many
birds like the beautiful Peacock; Green peafowl (Pavomuticus) and Jungle fowl. Other animals are for example
Macaque, Squirrels, Javanese wild ox, Banteng (Bosjavanicus), Deers, monitor lizards and Langurs. We will see
the evergreen forest, the Bekol observation tower and Bama Beach. In the afternoon transfer to Ketapang port
for a ferry crossing to Bali, the ferry crossing will be about 1 hour, then you will arrive at Gilimanuk port, and
then start the 4 hours driving to your accommodation in Kuta or Ubud.

TOUR CONDITION:
– Semeru mount is closed for trekking every year starting at the Beginning of January – End of March.
And usually open for trekking start the end of April or the Beginning of May. Best travelling period for
this trip is on May – October
– The minimum age to follow this package is 15 years old
