casbah of Algiers:
The Casbah (meaning citadel) is the citadel of Algiers in Algeria and the traditional quarter clustered around it. In 1992, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) proclaimed Kasbah of Algiers a World Cultural Heritage site, as “There are the remains of the citadel, old mosques and Ottoman-style palaces as well as the remains of a traditional urban structure associated with a deep-rooted sense of community.

Dame d´Afrique :
The Notre-Dame-d’Afrique basilic is one of the minor basilicas of the Catholic Church. It is located in the municipality of Bologhine, west of Algiers, on a promontory overlooking the sea at an altitude of 124 m.
It was built by the architect Jean-Eugène Fromageau in the Romano-Byzantine style, and consecrated on July 2, 1872.The exterior is characterized by a high dome, fixed on a cylindrical drum. This basilica has the particularity of having the apse to the southwest, rather than to the East as usuel.
Martyrs’ Memorial :
Martyrs’ Memorial is a concrete monument commemorating the Algerian War. The monument was opened in 1982, on the 20th anniversary of Algeria’s independence. It is fashioned in the shape of three standing palm leaves, which shelter the “Eternal Flame” under it. At the edge of each palm leaf is a statue of a soldier representing a stage of Algeria’s struggle for independence.
The Jardin d’Essai :
botanical jewel of more than 3,000 plant species offering a real breath of fresh air in the heart of Algiers.
The creation of the Jardin d’Essai was decided in 1832 by the French general Avisard. When it was created, the park had an area of 5 hectares. Since then, the Garden has continued to grow and now covers an area of 32 hectares.

Departure To Djemila National Park in Setif :
The site of Djémila is located 50 km north-east of the town of Sétif. Known under its antique name Cuicul, Djémila is an establishment of an ancient Roman colony founded during the reign of Nerva (96 – 98 A.D.). The Roman town occupied a singular defensive position. Cuicul is one of the flowers of Roman architecture in North Africa. Remarkably adapted to the constraints of the mountainous site, on a rocky spur which spreads at an altitude of 900 m, between the wadi Guergour and the wadi Betame, two mountain torrents, the town has its own Senate and Forum. Around the beginning of the 3rd century, it expanded beyond its ramparts with the creation of the Septimius Severus Temple, the Arch of Caracalla, the market and the civil basilica. The site has also been marked by Christianity in the form of several cult buildings: a cathedral, a church and its baptistry are considered among the biggest of the Paleochristian period. The site of Djémila comprises an impressive collection of mosaic pavings, illustrating mythological tales and scenes of daily life.

Visiting the Palace of Ahmed Bay: The palace of Ahmed Bey (the last Ottoman ruler of Constantine from 1826 to 1848) is one of the finest Ottoman era buildings in Algeria and it is considered the living trace of the Ottoman civilization in the country. This huge building (5609 m²) was built at the location of old houses contiguous to each other in Constantine Province. It was finished shortly before the capture of Constantine by the French colonialism and used to serve as a hospital for French troops under the name of “Hotel Division”. After the independence, it was used as a site for some cultural events. In the early 1980s, the palace was restored and given back its original plan and look by a Polish Company. In 2009, this magnificent palace opened to the public and became a museum of arts and popular traditions.
