Introduction
The main achievement of Barcelona was the hosting of the Olympic Games in 1992, when became famous in the eyes of the world and now one of the most popular touristic attractions of Spain. Barcelona has one of the most unique and inspiring Baroque and Gothic architecture in the world, famous for its historical and geographical location, elegant city, with a vast culture, monuments, museums, galleries, landmarks, summer festivals, parks and churches, pubs and bars, traditional and local cuisine where you can enjoy a picturesque view of the Mediterranean city. The centre of the city is crossed by La Rambla, the main avenue of the city, going from the Square of Catalunya to the Mediterranean Sea and to the Old Port of the city. Barcelona is also an important business centre, becoming a point of reference for architects all over the world also benefiting from its strategic location and historical links with France and other Mediterranean countries. The best time to visit Barcelona is from May to June when the summer festivals start.
