May to September is the best season, with the peak season in July for the Naadam Festival and in
22th July Felt Festival, in 23th July Yak Festival in Orkhon Valley. July and August are also the
wettest months of the year, but be assured, our climate is such that you will still have many sunny
days at this time.
DETAILED TOUR ITINERARY:
In this tour, you will discover Genghis khan statue and 13th Century, Khogno Khan park,
Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of the Mongolian Empire, as well as the other landmarks of the
Orkhon Valley such as its waterfalls. Also we staying in Mongolian traditional accommodation
called ger with nomadic people and ger camp. You will fly, hike, camel and horse riding and
rafting on an amazing adventure.

Arrival at the airport, meeting with our driver and. Transfer to your hotel, settling in, and rest.
Appointment at 12 o’clock at your hotel with your guide. We will take you in the restaurant. Let’s
immerse ourselves in the heart of the Mongolian history, in the wonderful National History
Museum. Three floors of a rich, glorious, violent and noble past, from prehistory to Soviet period,
including the creation of the great Mongolian Empire by Genghis Khan. Walk in the centre of
Ulan-Bator. Discovery of Gengis Khan Square and the House of Parliament. At 18 o’ clock,
Mongolian traditional show at Tumen Ekh: folkloric dances, contortion, and of course khoomi, the
overtone singing. At 19.30 o’ clock welcome dinner in Mongolian style restaurant. Overnight in
the hotel.
After having breakfast, we will drive to “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” (50kms from
Ulaanbaatar about 2 hours) which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world.
There is a recreation area, restaurants, and souvenir shops occupy the base structure. From here,
we use an elevator or walk to the head of the horse through chest and back neck of the horse, where
we can have farseeing and good panorama view over the complex area. Optional: Fly in the Auto
gyro discovering in beautiful areas by airplane window.
Afternoon we will drive to the “13th Century “complex (46kms).
This is the only camp in Mongolia where you can visit the old time micro kingdom of Genghis
Khaan and his empire. We will enjoy the craftsmen art work, Mongolian calligraphy, learn to write
Mongolian traditional scripts, dine in the kings and queen’s palace, practice archery, horse training
and catching horses with lasso pole, riding horses and camels or simply sit back and enjoy the
beautiful countryside landscapes and the clear blue sky. We will visit six different camps.

Up early morning we will drive to the splendid rocky formations of Khogno Khan. Discovery of
the park: semi desert, steppes, taiga, stunning rocky formations, 80-kilometre (49,71 miles) long
sand dunes, are characteristic of this arid area nicknamed “Mini-Gobi”. Walk until Erdene
Khambiin Monastery. “Monk Erdene’s Monastery” dates from 17th century and was built in the
mountain. Camelback trek along the sand dunes of Elsen tasarkhai. Overnight in the ger with
nomadic family. B/L/D
Today we will drive to the Orkhon Valley (200kms about 4 hours). Inscribed on the UNESCO
World Heritage List, the valley is a land of nomadism and many breeders set their summer camp
there. On the way, we will see Uurtin Tokhoi Canyon scenic spot. Once at the camp, you can take
a rest from this long journey in a comfortable ger camp by Orkhon river. B/L/D
After breakfast we will hike or horse riding to Ulaan Tsutgalan, white flood flowing on the black
stone, transformed in rainbow by a short sunray and the largest waterfall of Mongolia, 7 km away
from the camp.
On the way you will stop by a nomad family to taste their dairy products and learn more about the
nomadic way of life. Once at the camp, you can do some fishing, play archery, rafting, pétanque, or
just relax. Dinner is real authentic Mongolian barbecue, prepared in the traditional style with hot
stones. Overnight in ger camp or with local family. B/L/D
Today we will drive to long distance for 3 hours about 130 kms. Journey to Kharkhorin, the
former capital of Mongolia. The legendary city of Genghis Khan was founded in 1220 and was
one of the stages of the silk road.
Visit of Erdene Zuu Monastery, built in 1586 by a nomad prince. The Chinese and Tibetan-
inspired buildings are surrounded with 108 sacred stupas. Visit of the Museum of Kharkhorin.
We’ll be staying overnight in ger camp by Orkhon river. B/D/L
Today we will drive to Ulaanbaatar for 6 hours 370kms. Last herds of wild horses crossing the
road outside our dumbfounded eyes, last yurts smoking far away, the steppe will be with us until
the last moment. Arrival in town and settling in at your hotel, where you can rest a few moments.
Rest of the day free. With our guide, you can go and shop in the center of the city. Optional:
Ulaanbaatar by night (night club or pub)
Have a nice journey. Breakfast at the hotel. We go with you to the
international airport of Ulaanbaatar. The transfer can be organized at the time you want,
according to the schedule of your flight.

We use the highest level, latest model, air-conditioned private Japanese and Russian vans or 4WD
vehicles for the maximum comfort on your touring days. A day’s drive in the countryside will be
approx 200-280km.

We believe that comfortable, welcoming accommodation is vital to the enjoyment of your trip.
You will be stay in a standard 3-4-star hotel in Ulaanbaatar and a tourist ger camp (traditional
dwelling) with currency (220V), shower and other useful services (2 or 4 people per ger) in the
countryside. All accommodation offered by our company is personally checked by our staff to
ensure standards.

Meals:
In Ulaanbaatar, you will be dining at fine European and Asian cuisine restaurants. Mutton, beef,
rice and noodles form the basis of the Mongolian diet, so your meals will be based around this.
However, the trail rations may include vegetables, eggs, peanut butter, cheese and sometimes yak!
On some days there will be lunchboxes from tourist camps. It is good food and our experience has
been that guests are happy with this arrangement. Please let us know in advance if you are a
vegetarian. Alcohol is not provided on the trip but tourists are free to bring their own.
We offering camel riding, horse trekking and hiking tour based on local community. Nomadic
families live in the area are main parts of the tours. They will supply camels, horses, meals, and
accommodation for tourists.

Mongolian guide will accompany the group at all times. Our guides are experienced travelers who
know every corner of the Orkhon Valley. They can speak English and French and some of them
also speak Russian. They are proficient in horse riding and rafting and they have a broad
