MUSCAT ARRIVAL – ARRIVAL TO HOTEL

You will arrive at the Muscat International Airport. Upon your arrival, you proceed straight to Immigration. Immigration & customs are quick & simple. Upon arrival at the General arrival lounge, you will be met by our local guide – the chauffeur who will assist you to the comforts of our vehicle to drive you to the hotel.

COAST – WADI SHAB – TURTLES

Pick up at 8.15 a.m. You will depart from Muscat to travel south towards the Quriyat Region. After travelling just a few kilometers you will find yourselves absorbed in an almost lunar world where unreal mountains dominate the view. You will continue to the mountainous landscape arriving at the dramatic Bimmah Sinkhole. Once you are refreshed you will continue travelling through the villages of Dahab and Finns and arrive at Wadi Shab (Wadi meaning valley between cliffs). Upon arrival at Wadi Shab you will transfer to a small fishing boat to be taken across the wadi to enable you to start your journey.  The word breathtaking hardly does it justice.  You will walk through the amazing canyon until you arrive at the wadi which leads to the Keyhole. Here you can relax; take a dip in the pools. You will have the opportunity to swim through a pool of crystal clear water and dive through a narrow keyhole, inside you will find a magnificent cave, complete with an incredible waterfall. Our next stop for lunch is at a restaurant to try the local cuisine.  After lunch, you will travel to the city of ‘Sur’. You will have time to relax at the hotel. Dinner will be served at 7:30 before a drive to Ras al Jinz to see the turtles at around 9:00 pm. Whilst we are very successful in sighting turtles, there are no guarantees.  You will finish the tour at 11:00 pm and travel back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

WADI BANI KHALID – WAHIBA SANDS

After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart on an exciting 4wd journey through the mountains. Your first stop will be Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water all year round. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oasis where it sustains the typical date palms. Post lunch you will travel to Wahiba Sands which is famous for its multi-colored sand which varies from black to honey-golden and even to white. In the heart of the golden sands of Sharqiyah Desert nestled amongst stunning and changing patterns of dunes. The camp offers luxury Bedouin-style air-conditioned accommodation and a variety of complimentary toiletries. The location of the camp in the wilderness of the desert, emphasizes the beauty oSeverusf the golden sand dunes surrounding it. You will be made to feel welcome with the warmth and kindness of the Omani Hospitality.  After an adrenaline-fueled 4WD safari across 150-metre dunes and with a spectacular view of the sunset, you will be ready to experience the delicious Arabic Cuisine, splendour and live entertainment the camp has to offer.  Whilst you sit around a campfire under the starry sky, you will be able to look back over your day and appreciate the once-in-a-lifetime experience.

WAHIBA SANDS – NIZWA

Pick up time 8.30 a.m. After checking out of your hotel you will start your fascinating round trip where you will experience the history and culture of Oman. Your first stop will be at the spectacular Nizwa Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman. You will also visit the Nizwa traditional Souq.  The Souq is a lively place and

an ideal location to purchase handicrafts and souvenirs. After a little bartering in the Souq.

BAHLA –MISFAH – JEBEL SHAMS

After breakfast, your first photo stop will be Bahla fort. Bahla Fort is one of four historic fortresses situated at the foot of the Jebel Akhdar highlands.  You will then proceed to Al Hamra and Al Misfah, The oldest villages in Oman with clay houses dating back up to 400 years. After enjoying lunch your experience continues through the untamed and rugged countryside.  We start heading to Jebel Shams. Oman’s highest peak at 3000 meters, is often hailed as the Sultanate’s version of the Grand Canyon.

Overnight: Sama Heights

JEBEL AKHDAR – BIRKAT AL MAWZ - MUSCAT

After breakfast the journey to Jebel Al Akhdar. Jebel Al Akhdar is part of the Al Hajar Mountains range, composed mainly of limestone, and is the highest point in Oman and the whole of Eastern Arabia. After this your next stop will be Birkat Al Mawz, it is an enchanting stop that will transport you back in time. Here you can find the ruins of the Tribes that lived in these mountains surrounded by plantations. After enjoying lunch, you will head back to Muscat City and stay overnight.

DIMANIYAT ISLAND – DOLPHIN WATCHING – SNORKLING – MUSCAT - DEPARTURE

Morning  08.00 am after having your breakfast you will be taken to the island for the spectacular dolphin watching & snorkeling tour which will be for max 4hrs you will have your lunch and then be dropped back to the hotel. Your departure transport will be ready to drop you off at the airport.
