DAY 01 : AIRPORT – LOAJANAN – MAHAKAM RIVER.
Depart from Balikpapan and leave for Loajanan for boarding the house boat for exciting Mahakam river. Lunch,
dinner and overnight on boat. (L,D)
Accommodation : On Traditional Boat (Communal Cabin)

DAY 02: MUARA MUNTAI – MANCONG – MUARA PAHU
After breakfast on boat, sightseeing the way of life of the local people as well as Kutai, Banjar tribe then you
will be transferred into canoe for crossing the Jempang lake for reaching the Mancong village to see the way of
life of the dayak Benuaq . On arrival at Mancong Village you will be welcomed with a traditional dance
performance by chief and his people. There might be a chance to see the proboscis monkeys, Macac, monitor
lizards, king fisher whilst passing the Ohong river. Afterwards, return to the houseboat for cruising upward
the Mahakam river to Muara Pahu. Meals and accommodation at houseboat.

DAY 03: MUARA PAHU – BELOWAN RIVER – MELAK
Arrive at Muara Pahu, cruise upstream the Kedang Pahu River and Belowan River as a black water peat swamp
forest land, with opportunities to spot the fresh water dolphins, proboscis monkeys, black leaf monkeys,
hornbill, and other animals. Afterwards, return to houseboat for continue upstream to Melak

DAY 04: MELAK – BLACK ORCHIDS- EHENG OLD LONG HOUSE-WATER FALL
After breakfast on boat, then you will be transferred for observing the natural black orchids, kersik luway, then
short trekking to see the huge trees as well as: Bangkirai trees, Iron woods, then visit the old long house of
Tunjung and benuaq tribe where they have been living with communal in old long house, here you can also see
the Coffin with beautiful ornaments in the front of their long house. Then visit the waterfall of Mafan and
Bunda Maria cave. Back to House then down river. Lunch will be provided. Dinner and accommodation on Boat.

DAY 05: TENGGARONG – BALIKPAPAN
After breakfast on the boat then moving down river to Tenggarong. Stop over will be made in Tenggarong for
observing the royal collection of the Kutai kingdom in Museum (It was the royal Palace) here you can see the
collection of the oldest Hindu Kingdom in Indonesia since 4th century. After Tenggarong then down river to
Loajanan. After lunch on houseboat you will be transferred to Hotel for the night in Balikpapan. Dinner at
local restaurant by your own expense. (B,L)

DAY 06: HOTEL – AIRPORT.
Breakfast at the hotel then transfers to the airport for the next destination. (B)
