The Riviera is the center of Montenegrin tourism, known for its sandy beaches and nightlife, the area of hotels and restaurants that separates the beautiful coast from high mountains. The name Old Town, Budva was worn in the Middle Ages, and most of the architecture of this city was of Venetian origin. Doors, windows, balconies and many other parts of the building are of Roman style. Budva has a large number of cultural and historical monuments, monasteries and churches that document the historical and social events in the area of the Budvanska Riviera. Among the most famous churches are the church of San Giovanni, built in the seventh century, the church of Santa Maria “in Punta” from 840, the church of the Holy Trinity from 1804. Budva is often referred to as the “metropolis of tourism” because it is the most visited destination in Montenegro and one of the most visited ones on the Adriatic, and it is often given epithet like “Queen of the Adriatic”.

Vrmac is a mountain and peninsula in Montenegro. The highest peak of this mountain is St. Ilija – 785 m above sea level. Vrmac is a continuation of the mountain Lovćen, and towards the west it ends with the strait of the Verige. It is located between Kotor and Tivat bay, so it is not difficult to assume that during this tour you will have a wonderful view of the magnificent Boka Bay. Vrmac in the past had a great strategic significance because it was border through the Verige, between the Ottoman Empire and the Venetian Republic, and so today there are traces of fortification objects, built for the defense of the borders.  There is a tunnel broken through Vrmac, 1.637 meters long, connecting Kotor with the Adriatic Highway and the rest of Montenegro.
Lovćen is the symbol of Montenegro and its freedom. The mountain is located at 1749 m above sea level, and  in 1952, it was declared  a national park. On one of the peaks of Lovćen, Jezerski vrh – 1675 m above sea level, there is a Mausoleum, dedicated to Peter II Petrović Njegoš bishop, ruler, thinker and poet, one of the most important figures of Montenegrin history. This place, this great man has chosen for his life for his eternal rest. From the Jezerski vrh you can see half of Montenegro, Adriatic Sea, Skadar Lake, and when are good weather conditions the coast of Italy. As one of the 5 national parks, Lovćen is special in many ways. It is rightly said that Lovćen is a natural treasure of Montenegro. At the foothill of  Lovćen, at  900 m above sea level, there is the most famous Montenegrin village Njeguši, where the Petrović dynasty comes from, which ruled for 300 years by Montenegro.
Tara River is formed by the merging of two rivers, Opasnica and Veruša, at the foothill of the Komovi mountain. This river is known for its clean water as the “tear of Europe”. With a length of 146.4 km it is the longest river in Montenegro. Its clear and icy water can be drunk in any part of the stream. It is one of the most attractive rivers in the world, created for lovers of adventure and active vacation. The last 25 km of Tara river and the canyon represent the most attractive part for rafting with beautiful landscapes and 20 most exciting rapids. The Tara canyon is the deepest in Europe (1.333 m deep), and the second in the world after the Colorado canyon in America. The largest part of the Tara River, including its canyon, is under the protection of UNESCO as part of the Durmitor National Park since 1977, and it is one of the 25 most important natural sights. The river and the canyon abound with natural phenomena, cliffs and rapids, wild and untouched nature, which takes breath away to the visitors. The rich flora of this river conserves many species of plant from time, so it is possible to find some types of terrestrial flora from the ice age. A large part of the canyon is covered with conifers, among which the most important is black pine, old up to 400 years in certain locations, with a height up to 50 m.
Kolašin is a town in the north of Montenegro, 72 km away from Podgorica. It was founded in 1651 by the Turks as a fortification and a caravan station from the coast to the north. It extends in the upper and middle courses of the Tara and Morača rivers. It is surrounded on all sides by mountain peaks and ridges of Sinjajevina, Bjelasica, Komovi and Vučje. For mountaineers and tourists, the peaks of these mountains are especially attractive: the most famous Jablanov vrh (2203 m) on Sinjajevina, Troglava Bjelasica (2075 m) and Zekova Glava (2116 m), then Komovi (2484 m) . Kolašin is at 954 m above sea level and offers excellent holidays in winter and summer. In Bjelasica there is a well-known ski resort just a few kilometers from the city. Many people call this city an aerial spa due to the height and extraordinary climatic conditions. There is a unique botanical garden in Kolašin, which is a true treasure of flora of the continental part of Montenegro.
A special attraction for tourists is the National Park Biogradska Gora, located in the north-east of Montenegro, between the Tara river and Lim in the central part of the mountain Bjelasica. It is the first declared national park in Montenegro in 1952 and it occupies an area of 5650 ha. His protection dates back to 1878, when this area was given to the lord of Montenegro Prince Nikola Petrović, and it has since become the “Knjažev zabran” – ‘’Prince’s reserve’’. Biogradska gora simply captures its pure beauty. Surrounded by mountain heights, centuries-old forests and meadows, sprinkled with streams and coves, decorated with beautiful lakes, is a magnificent gift of nature. Green is dominated by a combination of unique forest ecosystem and meadow vegetation areas. The most important natural value of this national park is the rainforest of Biogradska gora, which covers an area of 1600 hectares. It is one of the last trees in Europe and has the character of a strictly protected reservation.

In the heart of the forest there is a beautiful Biogradsko lake, the largest and most famous of many glacier parks in the area of the national park. It is located at an altitude of 1094 m. In clean water on the lake, all the beauty of the ancient forest is reflected, giving it a blue-green color and creating a special landscape for visitors that leaves the impression of depth. Ice forms of relief, such as peaks high and over 2,000 meters and glacier waves with several fairytale glacier lakes, give this region unparalleled beauty.

The rich flora and fauna of the National park Biogradska gora made it very interesting and attractive to many scientists, scientific observations and studies, as well as sightseeing tours and visits of nature lovers.

Jul Plantaže ” as well as the impressive wine cellar ” Šipčanik ”, unique in Europe, where you will enjoy unforgettable smells and tastes of Montenegro.
Virpazar is a small fishing village, located on the road between Podgorica and the Montenegrin coast, at the confluence of the river Crmnica and Orahovica in the lake. In the past, this place considered as strategically important, so that the occupier Turks built a large fortress – Besac, on the hill above the village. After their fall, Virpazar became an important trading city with a lively port which was connected to the first Montenegrin railway at the beginning of the 1900s. Today this place serves as the main gate in the Skadar Lake National Park. It is also recognizable by local wines, which you can taste in family vineyards and cellars in the center and the surrounding area.
Skadar Lake is the largest lake in Montenegro and on the Balkan Peninsula, with an area of 369.7 km² (of which Montenegro has 221.8 and Albania 147.9 km²). The length is from Vranjina to Skadar 40 km, and width in some places 14 km. Depth 4 to 6 meters, and further on to the west hill. According to seasons, the size changes, and water is obtained from many rivers. It passes through the river Bojana to the Adriatic Sea. The Montenegrin part of the lake with the coast was declared National Park in 1983. The lake has many islands and peninsula with traces of history and valuable cultural heritage: Žabljak (15th century) – the capital of the Crnojević dynasty, Lesendro – fortress on the rock at the lake, the borderline of the Montenegrin army in the era of Njegoš, the fortress Grmožur – the Montenegrin Alcatraz, in the period when Nikola Petrović ruled. The lake has 18 important historical monuments that witness to Montenegrin history from the 11th century to the present. Clean water and the preserved environment have enabled the development of an extremely rich ecosystem. It is known for its diversity of flora and fauna. Skadar Lake is a bird’s paradise, it has 264 bird species, and about 90% of them are migratory and of international importance. This is the only pelican habitat in southern Europe. Near the town, in the Mirovica settlement, there is a monument of the nature of the Old olive tree, an olive tree between 2,000 and  2,500  years old. The oldest olive tree is the oldest tree in Europe, and also one of the oldest trees in the world. There are also seven other olive trees in the same courtyard between 500 and 700 years old.
