Day 1

Arrival Muscat, Oman

Pick up at the airport and transfer to the Hotel for an overnight stay at

4* Wyndham Garden Hotel in Muscat.

Day 2

FULL-DAY CITY TOUR OF MUSCAT

After having breakfast at the hotel, with the 08:00 am pick-up timing your city tour will begin. Your city tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the Middle East, the only mosque open to non-Muslims and expatriates in Oman. Later you drive to visit the Opera House. After you will visit the Muttrah Corniche and Muttrah Souq (The market) where you will have a photo stop with the big cruises by the corniche and the market where you can get to know the traditional handicrafts, Omani daggers, and many antiques. Now it is time for lunch, and you can have it as per your taste and interest as many restaurants are available in Muscat city. Then you will be taken to visit the museum Bait Al Zubair which gives you knowledge about tradition,

Culture and heritage of Oman. You will then have a photo stop at the official residence of his Majesty the Al Allam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th-century Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali. Now you have covered almost every visitable place so it’s time to get back and have a sleep to recall the day and dream for more to come. You will be dropped to the Hotel.

Day 3

MUSCAT – NIZWA FORT-SOUQ-AL HAMRA-MISFAH -JABEL SHAMS

Morning visits the powerful Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman, and the traditional Souq. Later on, proceed towards Al Hamra and Misfah to see one of the oldest villages of this region. The traditional mud houses dating back 400 years are still occupied. The falaj system used in this village is one of the oldest of this kind (UNESCO site). Thereafter drive to visit Wadi Gul & Wadi Nakhar the remote villages exactly at the drop point of the great canyon. Continue your journey to the top of Jebel Shams, “Sun Mountain”, Oman’s highest peak, 3009 m. The cooler temperatures will surprise you as you reach the top to get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”. Sleeping at high altitude will get you closer to the stars

Day 4

JABEL SHAMS-TANUF VILLAGE-BIRKAT AL MAUJ-JABEL AKHDAR

After the Breakfast tour proceeds towards Tanuf. Visit the ruins of Old Tanuf, a relic from bombings during the Jabal War. Walk in the middle of this palm plantation in Birkat Al Mauz and visit the old village where you can see the mud houses. The viewpoint will allow you to take a great picture of Oman’s natural beauty. Visit Jabel Akhdar or “Green Mountain” This mountain offers discovery and adventure. Experience a sense of awe as you witness nature’s primordial beauty as seen in the soaring peaks and plunging canyons. The rise of terraces on extremely steep mountain slopes …. There is a trek that goes from one village to another through the terraces and along the falaj system. There is a splendid view of the hanging terraces and continue to the village of Wadi Bani Habib. Then drop off at the hotel in Nizwa.

Day 5

NIZWA –IBRA VILLAGE-WADI BANI KHALID- WAHIBA SANDS

After breakfast in Hotel Nizwa proceed towards Izki and stop for visiting   Ibra village, many years ago Ibra was the center of trade, culture, religion, and art. Later on, continue towards Wadi Bani Khalid one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water all year round. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oases where it sustains the typical date palms. The pretty villages of Wadi Bani Khalid cling precariously to the rugged mountainside. But now the nature of the landscape will change dramatically – we reach the Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating dunes rising to 200 meters and stretching as far as the eye can see. It is also host to a variety of flora and fauna and one of the largest areas of pure sand desert in the world and the traditional home of the nomadic Bedouin. Camels are a common sight moving through the sands. Evening watch the spectacular sunset from the top of the dunes.

Day 6

WAHIBA SANDS – BEDUIN-SUR-DHOW BUILDING – RAS AL JINZ - TURTLE

Leave the golden dunes behind you and visit one of the Bedouin families then your next stop will be in Sur, Sur Dhow building (wooden shipbuilding) factory, where the Arabian Dhow has been built. & famous for its trading and Dhow Building Yard. The sheltered lagoon is a perfect picture. After that, you will travel to Ras Al Jinz for Turtle watching, for the timing of Turtle watching from 09:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Here you will see the turtles come to lay their eggs at night and this experience is a memorable one. After the turtle watching we will go to a hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7

WADI SHAB –PHOTOGRAPHY AT FINS BEACH – BIMMASINKHOLE – MUSCAT

After Breakfast on the Hotel tour proceed to Wadi Shab which means a “wadi between the cliffs”, enjoy a walk through the wadi, walking shoes are strongly recommended. Going up the wadi you will soon see pools appearing before you and you may also enjoy a refreshing swim in those pools.

Moving forward you will have a stopover at the fins beach to have photos and rank one of the beautiful beaches of Oman.  Later on, the tour continues towards Bimmah sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with inviting blue-green water, and concrete steps leading down the side making swimming possible. Proceed to Muscat via Quriyat and check into the hotel.
