You will be picked up from Kilimanjaro International Airport. Quick orientation briefing with our on-ground staff, regarding your upcoming safari. Afterward, you will be taken to your accommodation at Planet Lodge OR Mount Meru Hotel. Service: Half board.
After breakfast, departure to Serengeti National Park, and then drive to central Serengeti for afternoon game drive in the park. In the evening, you will return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.
Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th worldwide wonder, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, where about six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of elands, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.
After your breakfast at the lodge, the tour will start with a full day game drive in the Serengeti National Park. You will try to follow and view the great migration in the central, and late afternoon will drive back to the lodge/tented camp.
Serengeti National Park: The park is well known for its healthy stock of other resident wildlife, particularly the “big five”, named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: Lion: the Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due in part to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem. African Leopard: these reclusive predators are commonly seen in the Seronera region but are present throughout the national park with the population at around 1,000. African Elephant.
Overnight at Serengeti Kati Kati Camp Or Serengeti tortilis Camp for two nights. Service: breakfast, lunch (or picnic), and dinner.
Today you are leaving early in the morning to enjoy morning game drive/viewing in the park before heading Ngorongoro Highlands.
Returning late in the evening for dinner and overnight at Farm House/Valley Lodge OR Tloma Lodge.
The world-famous Ngorongoro Crater is at the eastern edge of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania. Nearly three million years old, the ancient caldera of the once-volcanic Ngorongoro shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens on earth, ringed with towering walls and sheltering forests, grasslands, fresh springs, and a large soda lake.
After breakfast, you will join a morning game drive to Ngorongoro crater floor tour, enjoy your lunch box in the crater, after lunch, transfer across Maasai and return back to Arusha late afternoon at Planet Lodge for dinner and overnight.
The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq. km in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. Many flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.
After your breakfast and free time at the hotel, our services will end by transferring you to the airport. Thanking and hoping that you have enjoyed your Safari with us!
Until next time we wish you a safe journey back.
