1. Welcome to Ivato Airport Transfer to the hotel.

You will be picked up by English speaking guide and accompanied to the hotel.

2. Discovery of Rova Palace in Antananarivo and the beautiful Geysire of Analavory – Waterfalls of the river Lily Ampefy – 125 Km ca. 2: 40 h

After breakfast you will visit the Royal Place Rova and then continue to Ampefy to visit the region and the waterfalls of the river Lily. You will also visit the Geysire of Analavory. This is in a beautiful volcanic environment in Ampefy. On the way you will observe the cultural life of Antananarivo inhabitants. They live most of the time on the street as well as selling something. The duration of all the excursion will be approx. 5 hours. Then you will return to the Hôtel Restaurant La Ribaudière Antananarivo, 4-star Hotel.

ANTANANARIVO

You will visit the former Royal Palace Rova of Madagascar. This is one of the famous historical cultures of Madagascar during the colonial period, executed by the monarchs of the Kingdom of Imerina   in the 17th and 18th years and the monarchs of the Kingdom of Madagascar in the 19th.

It is located at an altitude of 1462 m on the highest elevation of the capital, the Analamanga, and is thus almost 200 m above the quarters of the lower city.

AMPEFY

The town is located in the district of Soavinandriana in the Itasy region. Apart from a place completely isolated from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, the village of Ampefy offers you a unique and contrasting landscape. Located to the west of Antananarivo, the road to this region leads to the volcanic highlands, which are very present in the region.

The region with its charming volcanic landscape looks similar to the landscape in the southeast of the island. During your visit, you will discover the life and culture of the day of the people. The Peasants live from agriculture are very industrious. They have planted vegetables, corn, and rice in this fruitful soil, whatever the Madagascans like to eat in everyday life, grows here in this country.

WATERFALLS LILY

One of the main attractions in the Ampefy region is a visit to the Lili waterfall. Located in Antafofo, you can already admire the beauty of the volcanic region along the road to these famous waterfalls.

3 Antananarivo – Antsirabe (170 kms: 3.5 hours including photo stops)

Early morning after breakfast we will go to Antsirabe. On the way we will discover special views with beautiful green nature in Vakinankaratra region. In addition, we can observe the local people’s life on the streets. Most of the population in Madagascar are agriculturists and build rice and other meals. We will stop at the restaurant for lunch. Stay overnight in Plumeria Hotel, 3-star Hotel.

4 Antsirabe – Miandrivazo (230Kms: 5 hours including photo stops)

After breakfast, our journey continues to Miandrivazo. One of the famous cities for several cows. Today we will have other experiences because we will be able to discover an extraordinary, beautiful landscape with many mountains. We will have a break during our trip so that you can take good pictures for panorama. Overnight Hotel “Princess Tsiribihina” Miandrivazo, 3 star Hotel.

MIANDRIVAZO LANDSCAPE

Discovery of highlights of central Madagascar with dry areas of the west coast. The west is an arid area, but with often abundant rainfall from December to March.

5 Miandrivazo – Masiakapy – Tsiribihina River Tour – Nosinapela Waterfall – Camping (Begidro Village)

After breakfast we drive to Masiakapy where we take a motorboat. From here we will start the river cruise on the majestic Tsiribihina River. You can discover the beautiful landscapes, many species of wildlife such as herons, wild ducks, parrots, some birds of prey.

Before midday we cross the massif of Bemaraha. It covers a fantastic landscape, mixed woodland with its lemurs and the wonderful sounds of the birds.

At noon we will take a shower under the best waterfall of Madagascar “Nosinapela” and its natural swimming pool. After this beautiful waterfall we will drive again along the river to the place where we will pitch our tents. Here we will set up our camp on a sandbank, make a fire at night and cook your dinner. Enjoy your meal, listen to the sounds of the river and watch the sunset, Camping at night.

6 Tsiribihina River Tour – Camping (Ambatomisay Village)

After breakfast we will continue by boat on the longest river in Madagascar. Before we leave this first campsite, we make a short visit to the village of Begidro, where we have the opportunity to make contact with locals or Malagasy villagers. We go away again by motorboat on the river Tsiribihina. We camp at night.

7 Tsiribihina River Tour – Camping (Ambatomisay Village) – Bekopaka

This is the final portion of the motorboat trip and also takes us to beautiful landscapes with rice fields along the riverbanks and baobab trees. This is exactly the exciting moments where you drive along a safari road. On the way we will discover great safari views with the red dusty roads. We will take a boat to cross the road and arrive in Bekopaka. At noon we reach the end of the motorboat trip. We drive to Bekopaka in a 4×4 car. We will arrive there around 18.00 and check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel Soleil des Tsingy, 4-star Hotel.

BELO SUR TSIRIBIHINA

The Tsiribihina is a river that flows from the central plateau of Madagascar down to the west coast. A river trip on the Tsiribihina and a visit to the so-called Tsingy of Bemaraha are highly recommended. This is probably one of the most extraordinary experiences or attractions you will ever find in Madagascar.

8 Bekopaka – Big Tsingy NP – Bekopaka – Small Tsingy NP

An exciting day is waiting for us. Early morning after breakfast, we will hike to the Tsingy Bemaraha.

We drive to Big Tsingy car park (17 Kms: 1-hour drive). We spend 4 to 5 hours hiking in the infinite Grand Tsingy (Andadoany’s circuit) to see 30 meters high cracks, beautiful forests, canyons with lemurs and birds. This is an interesting mountain with mineral landscape that actually resembles an almost impenetrable labyrinth of sharp and threateningly towering limestone needles.

You should bring good hiking boots. And for safety’s sake you can also take hats and water to protect you from the sun. These hikes will take about 6 hours. You can take a snack with you, and eat it in the break. At 2 pm we arrive on the campsite and have lunch at the Malagasy restaurant. In the afternoon we will return to the hotel Soleil des Tsingy , 4-star Hotel.

TSINGY DE BEMARAHA

About 200 million years ago this unique landscape began to form. The limestone seabed was pushed up, creating a plateau that was hollowed out by the heavy rains and over the years took on its present form of high limestone pillars.

The integral reserve consists mainly of canyons, gorges, untouched forests, lakes, and mangrove swamps, all of which show an amazing variety of fauna and flora. The rate of endemic species is about 85%, 47% are even locally endemic animals!

The western slopes of the massif rise more gently and are mainly covered by dry deciduous forests, which are optimally adapted to the extreme climatic conditions.

In the north, too, the limestone profiles describe rather gentle hills, while in the south extensive elevation formations extremely restrict access. In the midst of this difficult to access vegetation lies the beautiful Manambolo Gorge, where you can see waterfalls, lemurs, and magnificent, untouched forests. The landscape here above the plateaus resembles a grassy savannah. Within the deep gorges, however, the vegetation is very humid with small tropical forests and many liana plants.

9 Bekopaka – Belo Sur Tsiribihina – Baobab Alley with sunset – Morondava (200 kms)

The journey is now almost over but there is still the Alle Baobab – the most famous place in Madagascar. After breakfast, we will drive to Morondava. The Alle Baobab is right on the way to Morondava. There we will have a break to see the biggest tree of the island with the sunset. This is one of the best views you can enjoy on this safari tour. In the evening we will arrive in Morondava and relax at the hotel. Overnight in Hotel Chez Maggie Hotel Morondava, 3-star Hotel.

ALLE BAOBAB

The city of Morondava is characterized by its famous Baobab avenue. The Baobab Avenue is veritable boulevard of baobabs and was protected as a “natural monument” only in July 2007.

After breakfast you will have the opportunity to visit the center of the Morondava and then you will be accompanied to the airport Morondava and flight to Antananarivo at 13:50 h. This flight will be around 2:00 hours. From Antananarivo, you will fly to Europe.
