After breakfast, drive to the National Museum of Ethiopia to visit the long-age history and the oldest human ancestor, Lucy. Set within Haile Selassie’s former palace and surrounded
by the beautiful gardens and fountains of Addis Ababa University’s main campus is the enthralling Ethnological Museum. Even if you’re not normally a museum fan, this one is worth a bit of your time – it’s easily one of the finest museums in Africa. Before lunch, drive to Holy Trinity Cathedral Church which has a unique architectural style.
Immediately after a relaxed lunch, drive up to the Entoto Mountains, the best location to observe the panoramic view of the capital. It is also a historical place where Menelik II resided and built his palace. It is notable as the location of a number of celebrated churches, including Saint Raguel and Saint Mary (Maryam Church). The return drive will be via Piazza with an en route visit to St. George Church and Menelik II Square towards the largest open-air market, Merkato. This site will enable you to have an experience of shopping in Ethiopia.

Depart Addis Ababa at 07:30 am. At slightly over 100 km from Addis Ababa, Debre Libanos is one of the best day trips from the Ethiopian capital. The monastery and church northwest of the city has played an important role in Ethiopian Orthodox Christian religious history
and are reminders of Ethiopia’s struggle against the Italian occupation. In addition to its religious significance, Debre Libanos impresses all visitors with the surrounding landscape.
Debre Libanos is located directly on the escarpment looking down into the canyon, providing spectacular views – a perfect location to stop and enjoy the surroundings. In addition, a short walk leads to the so-called Portuguese Bridge, which was built around theturn of the 20th century. The bridge spans the small Gur River which, just a few meters farther, pours into a 600-meter high waterfall down into the canyon. Late afternoon, drive back to Addis Ababa.

After breakfast, the assigned vehicle and staff pick you from your hotel and leave Addis Ababa to the south through the fertile rolling hills. After lunch, you will visit Abijata and Shalla National Park located on the opposite side of the route from Addis Ababa to
Shashamane. Over 300 species can be seen around Lake Abijata and Shalla lakes National park. such as Yellow Wagtails, Ibis, Cormorant, Pelicans, Ducks, Egrets, Herons, Flamingos,
Storks, Swallows, Chestnut-bellied Sandgrouse, Abyssinian Ground Hornbill, Rollers, Wheatear, African Marsh Harrier, etc. After passing the tame ostriches at the gate, head first towards Shalla Lake which is the deepest of the Rift Valley Lakes. Along the way visit a number of hot springs, then head towards Abijata Lake, and this time of day the shores of the lake will be pink from the thousands of both lesser and greater Flamingo’s which feed
in the shallows. Then, proceed to Lake Langano, Situated 220-kilo meters south of Addis Ababa is the soft brown and copper-colored lake set against the blue backdrop of the Arsi
mountains which soar to 4000 meters. It has also its own birdlife, and you may see the rare Hemp rich’s, Horn Bill. you will chill out and relax by the lake. Swimming and kayaking on
the lake are some of the possible activities that you can partake in.

Overnight stay at Hara Langano lodge or similar, Langano.
After a free morning at Lake Langano, depart to Addis. On the way, you will stop for Lake Ziway to see birds near the shoreline marshes, before taking a cruise around the nesting grounds of Tulu Simbero, which means Bird Island in the local Oromifa language. You may also see local fishers at work on traditional reed boats. You will have a lunch break in the
town of Zeway then start the drive back to Addis Ababa. On the way visit the Crater Lakes of Debrie Ziet/Bishoftu/. Situated at the top of the mountain, Crater Lake is surrounded by
beautiful woods and considered to be holy. Enjoy the birds, plant life, and scenery as you make a drive around the Debre Zeit Crater Lake region. You will arrive in Addis Ababa late afternoon, and you will do some shopping for souvenirs. The tour ends with a drop off at Bole International Airport for a return flight back home.
